"ARK THE ACADEMY, GUIDING YOU TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE"

Sri Lanka’s first Analytical and Investigative Academic Platform (AIAP)

We believe that all Sri Lankan students should have the opportunity to validate their knowledge before they face an examination. Real learning happens when a student identifies his or her gap of knowledge and then put effort in bridging the gap by themselves. This is where the real knowledge management starts on. We believe having access to high-quality, updated test papers aid them in their preparations for upcoming school level and national level examinations. Our assessment results are unbiased and independent.

We fulfil the gap in the education system by develop our analytical and investigative online examination platform (AIAP).

This online platform will provide...

1. Students to validate their knowledge by accessing online exam papers.
2. Completed exam papers will be evaluated by qualified and experienced teachers.
3. Detailed report specifying areas of strength and weaknesses.
4. Student can request further guidance and support to covert weaknesses in to a strength.
5. Students will be monitored, coached and guided throughout the academic period.
6. This system is based on the principle of “Practice makes you perfect” to gain best results.

We hope that our online platform will be incredibly useful in your exam preparations, and we would appreciate if you could share this resource with others, who might need it as much as yourself. Also, if you have any resources that you’d like us to share on this page, you may send them us via our Email info@ark.edu.lk

“Developed my Time Management Skills”

I strongly believe “AIAP” system will help to develop our Time Management Skills that is useful for facing an examination confidently, because facing an examination is a time-box event.

For many students, answering exams completely is quite difficult because we may find ourselves slumped in one tricky question and use a lot of time in it. As a result, we miss a lot of points since we were unable to answer the questions that we can score marks easily.

Since past exam papers are the actual tests used by previous students, we can use them as a basis on how we should spend time on each section of the exam and get a feel on how the test will go.

“Helped me to identify my weak areas”

Doing past examination papers helped me to identify my weak areas. Hence I put more hours in to studying the areas I was weak at. This saved a lot of time since I have to focused only the gaps.

It is important that the analytical report helped me to plan my schedule of study within short period and gained confidence in facing the exam. Because, this detailed report showed me weak areas in the curriculum. I took more lessons on those weak areas from my teachers and academics.

“It gave me Self confidence, that drove me to achieve higher grades”

As I look into past exam papers, I was able to determine the areas which I should focus more to earn high marks. Practicing past papers while analyzing the relevant marking schemes gave a clear understanding on how the answers are graded. Once the focus is clearly adjusted, there is no doubt that we can ace the exam without any hesitation. Revising subject matter with past exam papers in my own, gave me Self confidence, that drove me to achieve higher grades.

“Practicing past papers is more productive and time saving”

During my school time I was lucky enough to manage both studies as well as sports even during my A/L studies I played for school cricket and national level athletic events. Those activities did not hinder my studies as well as able to gain high marks during school term tests. Behind my success to get in to Medical College in my first attempt (after 27 years in school history) was my ability to practice for exams by doing past papers and focusing on my weak points. I am glad I did this spending more time which lead me to my success. I wish this system was available during that time which is more productive and time saving.

“Practice makes you perfect”

I have seen students who practicing past exam papers are able to succeed in examinations more than the students who practice in regular methods. I also ask my students to answer past papers whenever I complete teaching a module.

It is not uncommon for many students to lose their focus during exams, especially if they feel as if they have not prepared enough

When they include past exam papers in their reviewers, students will be able to use the papers to see how the exams would look like and condense their review sessions to the areas they need to focus on.

As a result, they will be able to prepare better and be confident that they won’t fall in the pitfalls of the real exams.

“How key topics and questions will be asked”

Past exam papers can be instrumental in helping you get a feel on how key topics and questions will be asked in the real exams.

If you use the past exam papers as a mock exam, you will be able to determine which areas you are strong with, areas which you need help with, and areas which you know nothing at all. With the help of the past exam papers, you can turn your revision to focus on these weak areas

You can make your own exam-style questions, but there is a possibility that it is worded in such a way you can easily answer it. Exam-style questions can be very tricky and depending on the subject, you will need to be careful on the phrases used. Past exam papers can help you remember these quirks and identify them immediately during the exam.
